Katlego Mogomotsi Kwele, also known as KDS THE JOAT is a 16 year-old artist from Johannesburg, South Africa. Born 24 October, 2006 in Pretoria, he started making music at the age of 11. Mostly known for his energetic, hype delivery in vocals and exotic lyricism through his music. KDS THE JOAT is a member of South Hood Slimez, as he also formed the group himself. South Hood Slimez is a group of artists including himself and his friends who create their own different variety of vibe in Hip-Hop/Rap and Trap.

With his previous artist names he released singles & EP's on streaming platforms, his last song and project released with his previous stage name Kwelzotic, was "No Secret$", an EP of two tracks & "Kutthroat", a single dropped earlier in 2022. After that, he released his debut single as KDS THE JOAT and released "IRWAS" on March 11th which reached milestones of success with over 10,000 streams on digital platforms. But he didn't stop there, he dropped two more songs a few months later titled "Bag It" & "Burbans" which both reached over a thousand streams on Soundcloud & over hundreds of views on YouTube.
